Garden Integrated Studies

Gardens are a great place to start your homeschool studies. The subjects you can base off of growing food are countless. But, where do you begin?

I remember the challenges, oh so well. I believe that experiential learning is the best way to learn. That meant that I created my own scope and sequence and the details of how to teach it while I used textbooks as a guide. It was a lot of work, but my kids learned to think outside the box simply because they did not have a box!

Teaching styles and learning styles are varied. You may prefer a more traditional approach to education but you may want help with the activities that go with your curriculum. You’ve come to the right place!

I know that the cost of curriculum can put a strain on the budget. I remember oh so well, that help with creating my own would have been amazing. That’s why I’ve made the lessons for free and have also given you the workbook chapters to print for free too. When you subscribe, you will be given access to them. SUBSCRIBE HERE

The Secret Inside series is a foundational study of botany from a lovely book that is no longer in print, “Grocery Store Botany” by Joan Elma Rahn. I have recreated her chapters into daily lessons and included a FREE student workbook for each lesson. Upon completion of all chapters, your student will have a treasure full of memories that he or she created. The bonus to the parent or teacher is that the supplies can be found in a grocery store. It’s a really inexpensive way to teach botany. And the kiddos just might eat their lessons!

Enjoy these FREE lessons!

Look at it this way: experiential learning gives them a peg to hang the “book” learning on.

May all you weeds be wildflowers,

Debbie
